The photodegradation of blends of PVC with copolymers of acrylonitrile and styrene or α-methylstyrene has been investigated by UV-visible spectra for conjugated CC unsaturation, FTIR spectra for hydroxyl and carboxyl groups, and GPC for molecular weight. The changes in these properties with irradiation time were approximately additive with the composition of the blend, consistent with two-phase systems, indicated by two T values from DSC
