Висвітлення воєнної історії України у експозиції Національного військово-історичного музею України (2014–2020 рр.)

This article examines the exposition of the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine and its branches in the context of the military history narrative, which is relayed by the museum staff in 2014–2020. The authors analyze the principles of construction of the exposition on the basis of modern theoretical and methodological approaches to museum activities and the conceptual foundations of coverage of the military history of Ukraine in NVIMU. Based on public demand, the key narrative is visitor-oriented. The specificity of museum formations in the structure of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is that most of them originated on the basis of military units and relay military history in the context of longevity and heredity of traditions from the Soviet army to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russia’s aggression against Ukraine in 2014 has become a powerful factor in rethinking  national military history and changing conceptual approaches to its reflection in museum exhibits. The authors cover the main thematic content of the museum expositions of the NVIMU and its branches in the context of these changes, reveal the specifics of all museum institutions in the structure of NVIMU. It’s determined that the current sociopolitical situation, new approaches to museum work and the vision of the museum’s role in society have greatly influenced the transformations in the activities of the NVIMU and its branches in 2014–2020. На основі сучасних теоретико-методологічних підходів до музейної діяльності аналізуються принципи побудови експозиції, виходячи із суспільного запиту, а ключовий наратив орієнтований на відвідувача. Визначено, що сучасна суспільно-політична ситуація та нові підходи до музейної справи істотно трансформували експозиційну діяльність НВІМУ та його філій у 2014–2020 рр.
