Mrs. Alexander Taggart was photographed by Bretzman in 1931. She was listed on the customer card at 4715 Washington Boulevard in Indianapolis. The city directory identified her as Lillian. Her husband was the manager of the Taggart Bakery with offices located at 23 East Ohio Street. A search of the 1930 census record revealed that both Alexander and Lillian were 47 years old. The couple had 4 daughters living at home at the time, Florence, Elizabeth, Mona, and Helen. The Taggart Bakery was the state's largest bakery and was organized in 1905.This image is a preservation copy made from an unstable original nitrate negative. The image is part of Series III
