Pictured here are sisters Margaret and Alice Landon with their bridesmaids on their wedding day at Oldfields in June of 1920. Their parents were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McKennan Landon. The young women were married in a double wedding, Alice to David P. Sawyer, and Margaret to John Delaplane. Oldfields became the Lilly house and gardens on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.This image is a preservation copy made from an unstable original nitrate negative.
