The Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission Bill 2012 (‘the Bill’) and the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (Consequential and Transitional) Bill 2012 (‘the Transitional Bill’) have been introduced following recommendations of the\ua0Final Report on the Scoping Study for a National Not-for-Profit Regulator\ua0(‘the Report’).\ua0\ua0One of the Report’s primary recommendations was that a single national regulator be established for the sector.\ua0\ua0\ua0A single regulator would provide the sector with consistency, as all NFP entities, irrespective of the structure, would be governed by similar principles
