In his will, Charles Fairbanks established the Cornelia Cole Fairbanks Trust Fund to benefit a charitable cause in Indianapolis. Its first project was the Cornelia Cole Fairbanks Home, opened in 1970 on Northwestern Avenue, as the new site for the Indiana Home for Alcoholic Treatment, founded in 1945. The present Fairbanks facility on Clearvista Parkway opened in 1982. It is the oldest independent addictions treatment center in the nation.Use of this image is restricted to projects related to Destination Indiana.
