peer reviewedL’hypophosphatémie se définit par un taux de phosphate sanguin inférieur à 0,8 mmol/l. Les causes d’hypophosphatémie sont multiples et souvent intriquées. Lorsque l’hypophosphatémie est chroniquement significative, elle peut engendrer des manifestations musculaires, osseuses, neurologiques,voire cardio-respiratoires graves. Dans cet article, nous rapportons l’histoire clinique d’un patient présentant une hypophosphatémie isolée. Nous rappelons les différents éléments intervenant dans l’homéostasie du phosphate ainsi que le diagnostic différentiel à envisager devant ce trouble ionique.
