As evidenced by the priority aspect given to it in Cycle 1 programs by the MENESR, the acquisition of language skills appears to be fundamental to child development. Nevertheless, in order for this acquisition to take place, it seems important that, during language sessions, all students should be able to speak, without being hindered by students qualified as big talkers. It is therefore with the objective of encouraging more equitable participation of students in these sessions that the token system, developed by Péroz, was used during this study.
