International audienceEisenstein's Parisian time is crucial in helping us to understand certain fundamental aspects of his surrealist vision of Mexico, as well as to grasp the influence of his conceptualisation of the principle of 'intellectual and conflicting' montage within 'heterodox' surrealism.
