The research aims at contributing to a better understanding of the adoption of eco-friendly innovations. It analyses representations of environment and practices associated with sustainable management of cotton farming systems in order to deepen understanding of logics and strategies underlining farmers’ practices, and motivations that determine their sustainable farming system adoption behaviors. Organic cotton (SCBIO) and cotton made in Africa (SCMIA) systems were used as case study.
