There are many challenges in their learning journey for children with special needs. Prior research shows that Virtual Reality (VR) can be used as a teaching aid for children with special needs. With the aid of VR, it is possible to construct a virtual environment with various objects to replicate real-world trainings. Serious games assisted learning is getting popular in special needs education. The use of the serious games with VR can provide realistic rendering and interaction to players. Although it cannot entirely replace the physical intervention trainings, VR serious games provide complementary ways of training lessons at low cost and flexible times.
