In this paper, we are interested in the joint estimate of user equipment (UE) location and orientation for millimeter-wave multi-input-multi-output (mmWave MIMO) systems. In practice, mmWave signals suffer from small-scale fading, which degrades UE localization. Moreover, mmWave MIMO-based UE localization is a non-convex optimization problem, and the bruteforce application of conventional optimization methods will result in a poor solution or lead to large computational cost.
