Diffusion and use of the constructivist perspective at FaE/UFPel in the 1980s and 1990s.

The present work aimed at investigating the diffusion and use of the constructivist perspective at FaE/UFPel in the 1980s and 1990s, meeting the characters and institutions which were part of this historical moment and constituted this educational scenario. Methodologically the study focused on the sue of oral history and document analysis with the purpose of highlighting the generating matrix of pedagogical practices, through the constructivism making possible the understanding of the trajectory of the diffusion of the constructivist perspective at FaE/UFPel, then collaborating in the consolidation of the investigation of ideas and scholar practices in a historical perspective. This study presents the paths taken by the research, which mean, the theoreticalmethodological questions, a bibliographic review on the origin of the term constructivism and a brief idea of the fundamentals of Brazilian educational constructivism. To end, it approaches the diffusion of the constructivist perspective at FaE/UFPel, highlighting the political-pedagogical scenario of the city of Pelotas and the Education College, as well as the constructivist ideas which constituted this pedagogical moment and which enabled a new epistemological view specially on how the child learns how to read and write. In the final considerations, it is focused the necessity of unveilment of the pedagogical practices in order to provoke a historical analysis of the pedagogical ideas which led and continue leading the school practices, searching for elements which allow us to understand the path that education has been following in the last decades, specially concerning literacy, with the diffusion of constructivism.O presente trabalho investiga a difusão e implantação da perspectiva construtivista na FaE/UFPel nas décadas de 1980 e 1990, indo ao encontro das personagens e instituições que fizeram parte daquele momento histórico e constituíram o cenário educacional. Metodologicamente o estudo centrou-se no uso da história oral e análise documental com a finalidade de trazer à luz as matrizes geradoras de práticas pedagógicas, pela via do construtivismo tornando possível a compreensão da trajetória da difusão da perspectiva construtivista na FaE/UFPel, assim colaborando na consolidação das investigações das idéias e das práticas escolares em uma perspectiva histórica. Este estudo apresenta os caminhos percorridos pela pesquisa, ou seja, as questões teórico–metodológicas, uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a origem do termo construtivismo e um breve panorama dos fundamentos do construtivismo educacional brasileiro. Por fim, aborda a difusão da perspectiva construtivista na FaE /UFPel, evidenciando o cenário político pedagógico da cidade de Pelotas e da Faculdade de Educação, assim como as vertentes construtivistas que constituíram esse momento pedagógico e que possibilitaram uma nova visão epistemológica principalmente de como a criança aprende a ler e escrever. Nas considerações finais, é focalizada a necessidade do desvelamento das práticas pedagógicas a fim de provocar uma análise histórica das idéias pedagógicas que nortearam e continuam norteando as práticas escolares, buscando elementos que nos permitam entender o caminho que a educação vem percorrendo nas últimas décadas, principalmente na área da alfabetização, com a difusão do construtivismo
