The early Iron Age in southern Britain: recent work at All Cannings Cross, Stanton St. Bernard and East Chisenbury, Wiltshire

These massive accumulations of material, here termed middens, developed at a time of rapid change in settlement and landscape organisation and date to between 800 and 600 calBC. Now, new work at Stanton St. Bernard and All Cannings Cross on the chalk downs of Wiltshire is further transforming how we understand the development of the southern British Iron Age
