One of the urgent problems today is to increase the energy efficiency of civil buildings. There is a need at the design stage to choose structures and design solutions that will compensate for the increasing consumption of energy resources in civil engineering. This article compares different building envelopes used in the construction of residential buildings: a volumetric block and a wall made of aerated concrete blocks. To determine the most energy efficient design solution construction is compared in different climatic regions.
