The crab cavity project covers all aspects of the development of the crab cavity system for the ILC. Main issues are the phase control tolerances, which are very tight in order to achieve acceptable luminosity losses, integration into the beam delivery system, and extraction of undesirable modes from the cavity. Differential phase jitter is found to be the tightest phase control requirement (0.066° at 3.9GHz), and will require the development of a high precision control system. The integration of the cavity into the BDS should not pose any particular problems in the case of a 20mrad crossing angle solution, space constraints may present challenges for much smaller crossing angles.
