Current problems in the diagnosis of celiac disease in children

Gaps of late diagnosis are based on the variety of atypical manifestations of celiac disease in recent years, evolving from characteristic symptomatology to less specific and more discreet symptoms, thus favoring the growth of latent forms. Celiac disease known as gluten enteropathy or gluten intolerance is a significant cause of retardation of harmonious development of the child. Due to unfavorable complications, celiac disease has been studied extensively in the last two decades. Progress has been recorded in such issues as prevalence, pathogenetic mechanisms, histological changes in the small intestine, and identification of forms of the disease. Boala celiacă constituie o dilemă actuală a gastroenterologiei moderne, deoarece rămîne a fi subdiagnosticată, în multe ţări. Lacunele diagnosticului tardiv sunt fundamentate pe varietatea manifestărilor atipice ale bolii celiace, din ultimii ani, evoluînd de la simptomatologia caracteristică la simptome mai puţin specifice şi mai discrete, favorizînd creşterea formelor latente. Boala celiacă cunoscută ca şi enteropatia glutenică sau intoleranţa la gluten reprezintă o cauză semnificativă în retenţia dezvoltării armonioase a copilului. Datorită complicaţiilor nefaste, boala celiacă a fost studiată intens în ultimele două decade. Progresele înregistrate vizează prevalenţa, mecanismele patogenetice, modificările histologice la nivelul intestinului subţire, şi identificarea formelor bolii
