A study was carried out to determine the prevalence of Equine Infectious Anemia Virus (EIAV) among horses of various clubs in the state of Selangor. A total of 94 serum samples was obtained from horses of various breeds, sex and age and tested for the presence of antibodies against EIAV using; (i) competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (CELISA) and (ii) agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID) test, to demonstrate the presence of antibodies against p26 recombinant gag protein.
