Importance of the surgical treatment of chronic otitis media with effusion in children

Catedra Otorinolaringologie USMF „Nicolae Testemiţanu”We presented the description and analysis of the results of treatment of otitis media with effusion (OME). Three groups of children suffering from OME were managed by different methods of treatment. The first group underwent adenoidectomy, II - adenoidectomy and conservative treatment and III - tympanostomy and adenoidectomy. Otoscopy, audiometry and impedance audiometry examination revealed undulating dynamic of the middle ear status in the first two groups. We observed gradual improvement (first 2 - 3 months) and progressive worsening of the middle ear status in both groups. The most positive and stable results were registered after tympanostomy with adenoidectomy. Prezentăm descriere şi analiza a rezultatelor tratamentului al otitei medii exsudative (OME) la copii. Trei grupe de copiii care sufereau de OME a fost trataţi prin diferite scheme de tratament. La copiii din primul lot a fost efectuată adenotomia; în lotul II adenotomia se îmbină cu tratamentul conservator şi lotul III - includea copii, care au fost supuşi timpanostomiei cu adenotomie. Otoscopia, audiometria şi impedansmetria a demonstrat dinamica undulată a funcţiei urechii medii în grupe I şi a II. Rezultatele pozitive şi stabile am registrat după tratament chirurgical – tympanostomia şi adenotomia
