Transplant of the upper limb

Catedra de Histologie, Citologie şi EmbriologieMaking an analysis of specialized literature on the limb’s transplantation, it can be ascertained that the satisfactory results in this area have been obtained in 20th century, following the discovery of suturing vessels techniques and techniques of immunosuppression. Microsurgical techniques offered the possibility to enlarge the functional capacity of transplanted limb. Increasing the survivability and preventing severe graft rejection can be ensured by the administration of corticosteroid hormones, polyclonal antibodies, calcineurin inhibitors, antiproliferatives coupled with vascularized bone marrow transplantation, which increases the chimerism. Analysis of data from literature concludes that the main directions of development in limb transplantation technique are: tissue printing, elaboration and development of new products, methods and techniques of immunosuppression. Făcând o analiză a literaturii de specialitate asupra transplantului de membru, se poate concluziona că rezultatele satisfăcătoare în acest domeniu au fost obţinute în secolul XX, în urma descoperirii tehnicii suturării vaselor şi tehnicii de imunosupresie. Tehnicile microchirurgicale au oferit posibilitatea de a mări capacitatea funcţională a membrului transplantat. Sporirea surviabilităţii şi prevenirea respingerii severe poate fi asigurată prin administrarea hormonilor corticosteroizi, anticorpilor policlonali, inhibitorilor calcineurini, antiproliferativelor cuplaţi cu transplantul de măduvă osoasă vascularizată, ce măreşte chimerismul. Analiza datelor din literatura de specialitate conclude că principalele direcţii de dezvoltare a tehnicii de transplant de membru sunt: printingul tisular, elaborarea şi dezvoltarea noilor produse, metode, tehnici de imunosupresie
