MSoc Sci (Research Psychology), North-West University, Mafikeng Campus, 2012The aim of the study is to develop an understanding of the social expenences of street children in Mafikeng area. The literature reviewed so far indicates that most street children come from disadvantaged families (broken homes, single parentage etc) and, consequently, have experienced psychological trauma and, as such, are likely to be predisposed to psychological problems.
