A series of maps detailing the spatial distribution and characteristics of geochemical data are presented. Key elemental ratios are modelled using a simple kriging method which balances the accuracy of the surfaces against the complexity involved in the interpolation process. While similar methodologies exist for various earth science related data sets, this research paper develops a method which can be undertaken by non-specialist GIS personnel at Chemostrat ltd and is economically viable to their business.
