The 1984 Wave Energy Seminar was held as a meeting place for practitioners in wave energy research d an development. A strong feeling had emerged from the 1983 wave Energy Seminar that a greater emphasis should be placed on techn1.·cal d' · 1.scuss1.on since this was one of the few forums available exclusively devoted to wave energy. Most of the day was taken up by presentations by each of the teams actively involved in wave energy R & D, and presentations were also made by colleagues from Norway and Eire.
