Musical criticism of Ostrava in interwar period as reflected in chosen daily press.

(in English): This thesis named Musical criticism of Ostrava in interwar period as reflected in chosen regional daily press deals with music critical reviews published in Ostrava press between the two world wars. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first introduces methodology procedures, aim of the thesis and survey progress. In the second chapter we describe the foundation of the first republic in Ostrava and, so called, Great Ostrava. Ostrava culture background focusing on chamber and symphonic music production and performances of the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre are dealt with in chapter three. The following chapters discuss theoretical and historic bases of music reviews and introduce four selected music critics who regularly published in popular papers. The last but not least chapter defines orientation of the selected papers - Duch času, Moravskoslezský deník and Ostrauer Zeitung. The last chapter makes the core part of the theses containing a list of reviews published annually in all the papers mentioned above. The same reviews are subsequently analysed to create the picture of music life in each period
