Copyright and related rights protection in satellite Broadcasting and retransmission This thesis deals with the field of intellectual property law and deals with the issue of protection of copyright and copyright-related rights in the field of satellite broadcasting and retransmission. Due to the scope of the topic, not all copyright institutes are analyzed in more detail. More time is devoted to the institutes that are most relevant for the basic attributes of copyright law and those that are relevant for the communication of copyright work to the public, audiovisual work, protection of copyright and related rights, television and radio broadcasting and its retransmission. In seven chapters, the thesis attempts to provide an overview of protection of copyright and related rights ; it methodologically begins with the interpretation of general principles of intellectual property law, proceeds describing international and Community law and ends with the interpretation of national law, where it gradually describes the authors' rights to their work, the performers' rights to their performance, the producers' rights to their record and the broadcasters' rights to their broadcasting, as the main holders of the protected rights.
