Due to environmental issues with cotton production and increasing global cellulosic fibre demand, production of wood-based dissolving pulp is expected to grow. Prehydrolysis kraft (PHK) process has been increasingly popular, due to environmental benefits compared to acid sulphite pulping. Thus, an evaluation of selected investment project options was carried out, to identify benefits of different bleaching options.
