[eng] The general objective of our study was to analyse the research methods and techniques used in the top Spanish scientific journals on library and information science, and to compare the results with those of similar studies. The following journals were included in the analysis: Anales de Documentación; BiD: textos universitaris de biblioteconomia i documentació; Cybermetrics; El profesional de la información; Revista española de documentación científica; Revista general de información y documentación; and Scire. All of them are indexed in Scopus and only two, El profesional de la información (EPI) and the Revista española de documentación científica (REDC), are also included in WoS.
