DESAIN KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN ISLAM MODEL KUTTAB (Studi di Kuttab Al-Fatih Malang)

Basic Islamic education institutions are applied from children starting at the age of 7 to 12 years, which in implementing an institution has its own design. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the curriculum design of elementary school Islamic education by looking at the structure of the learning curriculum that is applied to shape the character of students in achieving the desired goals. The purpose of writing this thesis is to find out how the implementation of the Islamic-based elementary school curriculum which is named Kuttab Al-Fatih in the city of Malang. The method used in this research is qualitative, because this research is aimed at seeing the phenomena that occur in the field. The research instruments used were interviews, observation, and documentation, which were then analyzed through inductive thinking. The curriculum design of the Kuttab institution in instilling student character according to subject objectives based on the religious curriculum and also the Qur’an and introducing the surrounding environment as a cultural plurality (contextual approach). Two types of curriculum are used by teachers in structured lesson planning by formulating goals, determining important materials, carrying out the learning process, and conducting attitude assessments or evaluations
