KAJIAN ETNOBOTANI MASYARAKAT DALAM MEMANFAATKAN TUMBUHAN HERBA BERKHASIAT OBAT DI DESA TAWANGARGO KECAMATAN KARANGPLOSO SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI

Tawagargo Village, in Malang Regency is a biodiversity area, especially for the herbaceous plants. This research aims to identify the types, methods of processing and parts of herbal plants used to treat some types of diseases, showing the implementation of studies as a learning resource. This research aims to identify the types, methods of processing, and parts of herbal plants used to treat some types of diseases, showing the implementation of studies as a learning resource. The type of this research is descriptive exploratory with a qualitative approach and the samples uses are snowball sampling through 30 respondents. The data analysis method using in this research is descriptive qualitative content analysis, the process of condensation data collection, presenting data, and verifying conclusions. The results of this research on herbal plants with medicinal properties were found 46 species with 26 families. The most common types are the Zingiberaceae, Lamiaceae, and Poaceae families. Sources of herbal plants from 24 cultivated plants, 5 purchased plants, 16 wild plants. The parts of herbal plants used are seeds, flowers, fruits, leaves, stems, roots, tubers, rhizomes and processed with boiling, drying, kneading, pounding, eating them immediately, and crushing. The usage of herbal plants by a community of the village like drinking, rubbing, eating, sticking them, and splashing to the body. The type of disease, mostly treated using herbal plants on the category agent of disease (bacteria, viruses, and parasites) as many as 39 plants
