E-VOTING DI PILKADES SELOTINATAH KECAMATAN NGARIBOYO KABUPATEN MAGETAN

One of the village's obligations is to develop a democratic life. Village democracy cannot be separated by the authority owned by the village government. Village government authorities include the orientation and accountability of officials, the process of using village authority, and the effectiveness of government structures for the welfare of the village community. As for realizing village democracy, one of them is to choose a candidate for village leader. In the current technological era, democracy also develops through the election of the village leader, it called election using e-voting. Elections using e-voting are based on several manual electoral problems such as the number of invalid votes, the slow counting of votes, the utilization of the rest of the ballot paper. Magetan district for the first time held village leader elections using e-voting simultaneously in 18 villages. One of them is Selotinatah Village, Ngariboyo Subdistrict, a village that has a large population and the most extensive village area so that it is chosen to carry out elections using e-voting. The aim of the study is to find out how e-voting is conducting elections. Descriptive research is used as the method. The data collected from primary and secondary data. The research’s location is on Selotinatah Village and Community Empowerment Office and Magetan Regency Village. The theory used in this research is the implementation of Merilee S. Grindle's policy. The result shows that the implementation of elections using e-voting in Selotinatah Village went well. This can be seen from the analysis of the stages of the selection of village leaders. The obstacles in its implementation are lack of infrastructure and socialization for the elderly
