This research was conducted to see the microstructure and mechanical properties of ASTM A36 steel with varying welding currents. The results of the welding process carried out with a variation of current 80 A, 90 A and 100 A have stress and strain values of 312,882 Mpa, 14,998%; 330,089 Mpa, 29,433% and 333,802 Mpa, 30,2%. Microstructure observations with changes in welding current variations obtained microstructure of perlite, grand boundary ferrite, widmanstatten ferrite and acecular ferrite. From the test data, there is an increase in the tensile strength value of the variation of the welding electric current, that the higher the electric current is given, the greater the heat input in the specimen.
