Generalised Anxiety Disorder is chronic type of Anxiety illness. It is common and persistent which effect individuals’ daily routine and life pattern. Current treatments have so many drawbacks including delay in onset of action, efficacy and troublesome adverse effects. Pregabalin is a structural analogue of GABA, it modulating or reducing the release of certain neurotransmitters like glutamate, substance P etc.. Pregabalin is effective in treating Generalised Anxiety Disorder. On each study Pregabalin found to be effective than Placebo. Pregabalin is well tolerated and show only mild to moderate side effects. However more researches and evidence are yet to be known to define the potential abuse liability of Pregabalin.
