The present academic work determines the influence of traditional games as a tool for the development of coordination abilities in students of basic and middle general education in the city of Cuenca. The research is developed under the non-experimental descriptive method, using quantitative techniques and the documental and bibliographic review allusive to the topic, thus establishing a scenario of analysis and discussion on the context of application of traditional games in the teaching of physical education. The results were conclusive in stating that traditional games have an influence on coordination skills.
