Educational Workshop for Parents to Gain Awareness of the Importance of Self Care.

Building Healthy Communities (BHC) is a non-profit organization is a based organization that is working to support community engagement and leadership for a healthy, safe, and thriving East Salinas and the wider Salinas Valley. BHC serves Salinas residents in East Salinas especially targeting youth, adults, and parents. The Marco level problem is that Too few Alisal Parents practice self-care. The micro level problem is the lack of knowledge of self-care. This project aims to expand self-care knowledge and develop a workshop on the different techniques of self-care and personal growth, and incorporating a routine in their daily life.
