Emotional Intelligence is a theory that stresses the importance of emotions as sometimes compared to IQ. When a person has attributes that allow them to effectively manage emotions, they will be more successful in their careers. There are several indicators of the level of Emotional Intelligence within an organization. Daniel Goleman delineates four cornerstones necessary for a healthy, Emotionally Intelligent organization: emotional literacy, emotional fitness, emotional depth, and emotional alchemy.
