This is Part 2 of an updated follow-up review of the World Allergy Organization (WAO) position paper on the diagnosis and treatment of urticaria and angioedema. Since that document was published, new advances in the understanding of the pathogenesis of chronic urticaria, and greater experience with the use of biologics in patients with severe refractory disease, mainly omalizumab, have been gained.
