Ontologies of Being for a New Socio-Political Awareness

A paper by Joseph Carew in the International Journal of Žižek Studies on “Slavoj Žižek and the Ontology of Political Imagination” forms the starting point for this brief paper which draws on recent insights from political theology and political philosophy that indicate ways in which the recovery or reconfiguration of ontologies of being might provide the means of analysis and collaboration for a new political cohesiveness. Such an intention is no small matter given a biopolitical context such as ours which many profound and influential thinkers agree has increasingly become a closed system with no outside.
