BACKGROUND: Preterm labour is defined as onset of regular painful frequent uterine contraction associated with progressive dilatation and effacement of cervix before 37 completed weeks of gestation from the last day of menstrual period. Preterm delivery is most important contributor of increase in perinatal morbidity and mortality. AIM AND OBJECTIVE: • To study the efficacy of nifedipine in prolonging the pregnancy in preterm labour. • To record the effect of nifedipine in mother and fetus.
