オンライン交流を通じた外国語および外国文化の学習意欲向上に関する基礎的研究 : 岐阜市立女子短期大学とプリンス・オブ・ソンクラー大学による 取り組みを事例にして

In 2020, by the pandemic of COVID-19, many educational institutions such as universities around the world, were urgently forced to switch from face-to-face lessons in classrooms to online lessons via communication devices such as computers and smartphones. In addition, by the pandemic, many international exchange programs such as study abroad programs were cancelled. In order to cope with this situation, an online international exchange program between Gifu City Women’s College (GCWC) and Prince of Songkla University (PSU) was implemented with the aim of improving language skills, motivation to learn, and knowledge of culture and society by interacting with students of the same age. This paper reviews the details of the program and the results of a questionnaire survey conducted before and after the program, and discusses the motivation of GCWC and PSU students to learn foreign languages and cultures
