A virtuális és valós tér kapcsolatának geoinformatikai vizsgálata

The relationship between virtual and real space is slowly becoming more evident, when dealing with increasing number of geolocated data of cyberspace. By now there are huge numbers of digital marks which could be geolocated and hereby visualized and analysed by GIS techniques. In this paper two examples of GIS-based analytical topics regarding cyberspace and real space interconnectedness are presented. On the one hand the connection between virtual and real space hägerstrand trajectories are introduced in order to determine habits of using space. On the other hand GIS-related examinations are presented in relation with the geographical delineation of online social network connections. According to the results both examples confirm that geography matters in virtual space (e.g. distance constraints are decisive), and GIS serves as an important explanatory tool in related analyses
