Identification, evaluation and development of regional disparities in the regions of the Czech Republic between the years 2012 and 2019

This bachelor thesis focuces on issues of regional disparities. The aim is to identify and evaluate regional disparities and their development with the regard on health care in the regions of the Czech Republic between the years 2012 and 2019. Four indicators were chosen – the number of health establishment, the number of hospital beds, the number of physicians and the number of PWPQ – all for the hospital and outpatient facilities. The author recalculates the values of these indicators per 10 000 inhabitants. This recalculation is further operated. The theoretical part is based on the theoretical basis, on which this work is built. The practical part is about achieving the stated objective, which is achieved by using the method of comparison with the elements of partial analysis based on tables and graphs, that are created by the author. Based on the acquired knowledge, it can be stated that there are differences between regions in the availability of care. The greatest variability occurs in the case of the number of hospital beds, which shows the calculated coefficient of variation, the values range from 0.254 to 0.270, but over time there has been a decrease in differences. The second largest variability between the regions is in the number of PQPW, where the calculated coefficient of variation ranges from 0.208 to 0.232, and even in this case the differences between regions decreased over time. The coefficient of variation for the number of doctors ranges from 0.144 to 0.158 and increased during the study period. In the case of the number of medical facilities, it is a coefficient of variation in the interval from 0.140 to 0.156, and the differences have increased over time. The best in terms of access to care is the region of the capital city of Prague, the worst is the Central Bohemian region, within all indicators. The originality of this bachelor thesis lies mainly in the fact that the author worked with data, which she put into a new context – first, for each region and year, recalculated to 10 thousand. population and, secondly, using the calculated coefficient of variation, author showed how they differ in selected indicators of the given region and in which direction their development is moving.Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku regionálních disparit. Cílem je identifikace a zhodnocení regionálních disparit a jejich vývoje v krajích ČR v letech 2012-2019 s ohledem na oblast zdravotnictví. Zvoleny jsou čtyři ukazatele – počet zdravotnických zařízení, počet lůžek, počet lékařů a počet ZPBD – vše za nemocniční a samostatná ambulantní zařízení. Hodnoty ukazatelů autorka přepočítává na 10 tis. obyvatel. Právě s tímto přepočtem je dále operováno. Teoretická část tvoří teoretický základ, na kterém je tato práce postavena. V praktické části jde pak o dosažení zmiňovaného cíle, k čemuž dochází prostřednictvím metody komparace s prvky dílčí analýzy na základě tabulek a grafů vlastního zpracování. Pomocí vypočtených variačních koeficientů jsou pak disparity zhodnoceny a je zobrazen jejich vývoj. S ohledem na získané poznatky je možno konstatovat, že rozdíly mezi kraji v dostupnosti péče existují. Největší variabilita se vyskytuje v případě počtu nemocničních lůžek, což zobrazuje vypočítaný variační koeficient, jehož hodnoty se nacházejí v intervalu od 0,254 do 0,270, v čase ovšem došlo k poklesu rozdílů. Druhá největší variabilita mezi kraji je pak v počtu ZPBD, kde se vypočítaný variační koeficient pohybuje od 0,208 do 0,232, i v tomto případě rozdíly mezi kraji v čase poklesly. Variační koeficient pro počet lékařů činí od 0,144 do 0,158 a ve zkoumaném období vzrostl. V případě počtu zdravotnických zařízení se pak jedná o variační koeficient v intervalu od 0,140 do 0,156 a shodně došlo v čase k nárůstu rozdílů. Nejlépe je na tom z hlediska dostupnosti péče kraj hlavní město Praha, nejhůře naopak Středočeský kraj, a to v rámci všech ukazatelů. Originalita této práce spočívá zejména v tom, že autorka pracovala s daty, která zasadila do nového kontextu – zaprvé za každý kraj a rok provedla přepočet na 10 tis. obyvatel a zadruhé pomocí vypočítaného variačního koeficientu zobrazila, jak se ve vybraných ukazatelích dané kraje liší a jakým směrem se ubírá jejich vývoj
