The bachelor's thesis is referring to the new regulation of insurance intermediaries, which is based on Act No. 170/2018 Coll. known as the Insurance and Reinsurance Distribution Act, which is based on the IDD Directive issued by the European Union. The purpose of this work is to take a closer look at activities of intermediaries at the insurance market as one of the options for the distribution of insurance products. It also focuses on the content of the previous regulation, based on Act No. 38/2004 Coll. The main focus of this work is to describe and evaluate the effects of changes in legislation in the field of insurance intermediaries. The partial goal is focused on the quantitative development of registered intermediaries on the insurance market and their requirements for professional competence. The work also contains personal worker’s experience from the field in form of an interview.Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na novou regulaci pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů, kterou je myšlen zákon č. 170/2018 Sb. neboli zákon o distribuci pojištění a zajištění (zkratka „ZDPZ“), jenž vychází z IDD směrnice vydané Evropskou unií. Účelem práce je přiblížit činnost zprostředkovatelů na pojistném trhu jako jednu z možností distribuce pojistného produktu. Dále se také zaměřuje na obsah regulace předešlé, vycházející ze zákona č. 38/2004 Sb. Hlavním cílem práce je popsat a vyhodnotit dopady změn v legislativě do oblasti pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů. Dílčí cíl je zaměřen na vývoj počtu registrovaných subjektů na pojistném trhu a jejich požadavky na odbornou způsobilost.
