Intertextuality in Kate DiCamillo’s Louisiana’s Way Home to Carlo Collodi’s The Adventure of Pinocchio

The researcher as the main instrument took note-taking to help her in collecting data and analyzing them based on the theory used. The findings showed there are 6 intertextual allusion examples of overall 39 intertextuality examples in general. The intertextualities showed when Louisiana narrates Pinocchio’s storyin the novel, describes something as being similar to something else, borrows a term to use in the present text, and alludes to something. Louisiana seems to use direct allusion which practically suits the readers, children, so that they are easy to understand the story
