Power consumed by any equipment connected to the grid must be regulated to facilitate the reliable and efficient operation of the grid and for smooth equipment operation of other consumers. Power factor is one of the major power quality measurement tool. All the electrical equipment connected to the grid must comply with the power factor limits as specified under various standards.
