The data were collected by a questionnaire on teachers' beliefs about research developed by the researchers. Studies on teacher perception about research were used to develop the questionnaire items. The questionnaire was written in Bahasa Indonesia, and then was validated by three educational experts as well as researchers. The questionnaire draft consisted of 72 items with a 6 point scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 6 (strongly agree). Exploratory factor analysis was performed to generate the best-fit factor structure and to reveal the best indicators for measuring each factor
