One way of understanding language use is understanding its artistic use. Literature makes use of language artistically. This paper describes how language is employed in literature especially in poetry. Rhyme and rhythm concern with a sound aspect of language while imagery concerns with the aspect of meaning of the language. All these things are twisted to achieve reliefs, admiration, satisfaction and happiness-human dignity in readers
