There is a delicate balance between beneficial and pathogenic immune responses. Ways to modulate such immune responses could be beneficial for auto-immune disease caused by uncontrolled immune responses. Since DC play a pivotal role in the induction of immune responses, the studies described in this thesis use DC as a tool to skew the immune system. In particular, the induction of DX5+CD4+ Treg by DC and the regulatory mechanism of these T cells were of interest
