This report presents the third update of the judicial sanctions capacity forecast drawn up under the responsibility of the Research and Documentation Centre [Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek- en Documentatiecentrum, WODC]. The forecasts relate to the judicial sanctions capacity required up to and including 2006 in the following areas: community service orders (minors and adults), the prison system, the detention of foreign nationals, custodial clinics, the Halt Bureau and correctional institutions for juvenile offenders. The forecasts are ‘policy neutral’, that is to say they are based on fixed policy. The effect of the proposed amendment to policy and legislation has not been taken into account in the forecasts
