New records of grasshoppers and allied insects in the Netherlands (Orthoptera) In this paper a summary is given of the new records on Dutch Orthoptera since Kleukers et al. (1997). The field work in the Orthoptera Mapping Scheme (1990- 1995) covered almost all the country, on a scale of 5x5km-squares. Nevertheless many new records were gathered in the following period (1996-2002). The most spectacular discovery was that of a large population of Gamposcleis glabra on the northern Veluwe (Berg et al. 2000). The species was thought to be extinct in the Netherlands.
