The classification of Columbella dormitor with description of a new genus Minipyrene (Mollusca, Gastropoda)

Columbella dormitor Sowerby, 1844, was placed by the malacologists in the genera Columbella, Pyrene, Parametaria (all Columbellidae), and in Mitromorpha (Turridae). It is a rare species, living in deeper water in the southern Caribbean. The species belongs to the Columbellidae; however, it is different from all existing genera.
